A Taste
of the Season

Chill’s Kyoto
Kamigamo

A plate that carries the season.

Seasonal ingredients and carefully brewed coffee.
Time you can taste only here.

FoodMeals

The season, on a plate.

Our food at Chill’s Kyoto
begins with choosing the ingredients.

Seasonal vegetables and fruit, meat and dairy.
We pick what tastes good at that moment,
and keep the colour, aroma and texture the ingredient already has.

Rather than dressing a dish up or stacking flavours,
we cook so the outline of each ingredient stays clear.

What matters most to us are
the seasonal ingredients grown on this land.
We use vegetables raised as close by as we can, Kamigamo above all,
and build plates you can taste only in this season, in this place.

Being gentle on the body is not the whole aim.
Before anything else, it should taste good.
We also value the slightly unexpected aroma or texture
that appears when one ingredient meets another.

An everyday meal,
that stays with you a little.
A little deeper than a cafe,
a little freer than a restaurant.

Plates that settle naturally
into the time you spend at Chill’s Kyoto.

COFFEE

Care that reaches beyond the cup.

A cup of coffee carries
the long time it took to become one.

Land and climate, the people who grow it, the harvest, the processing, the roast.
Change any one of them
and the aroma and the taste change too.

At Chill’s Kyoto we look past flavour alone
to how the beans were grown and made,
and choose carefully produced coffee, fair trade among them.

Keeping the character of each origin,
we aim for a cup where sweetness, bitterness, acidity and aroma sit comfortably together.

With a meal.
With something sweet.
Or with nothing but the coffee and a quiet moment.

A cup of coffee, too, is one of the things
that makes the time you spend at Chill’s Kyoto.

HOT COFFEE

A rare single origin grown on a farm in northern Thailand, roasted to medium. Behind a measured bitterness and acidity, a soft sweetness stays.

ICED COFFEE

ESPRESSO

Timor-Leste × Ethiopia|Original Blend

The deep body of Timor-Leste layered with the bright aroma of Ethiopia. Also used for café latte and affogato.
